Function in Play

The center of Kindred political life in New Orleans. Any formal Kindred gathering of consequence happens here. Violations of Elysium in Jackson Square are taken more seriously than violations anywhere else in the city.

Physical Read

The Square itself is open at night — musicians and street performers by day, Kindred and tourists by night. The Cabildo looms beside St. Louis Cathedral, both rebuilt multiple times after fires. The air smells of river and fried dough from Cafe du Monde at the Square’s edge. Gas lamps, tourists with plastic cups of alcohol, and very old buildings.

Who Controls It

Marcel controls the Elysium designation. The Gangrel Justicar Xaviar uses it for his triannual Conclaves — which Marcel allows because the Conclave cover legitimizes the Camarilla presence in the city.
