• A private Jesuit university at 1250 W Wisconsin Ave. Gothic Revival buildings, campus quads, academic respectability.
• Nothing looks wrong. The zone is invisible to mortal senses. No strange lights, no unusual sounds.
• Step inside the boundary and your blood stops obeying. The Thaumaturgy paths that define your identity as Tremere go dead. The experience is described by Tremere who have tested it as vertigo crossed with sudden deafness.
• The zone extends north past Mount Sinai Medical Center, west to Children’s Hospital, south almost to the Menomonee River. The boundary is irregular, unrelated to streets or property lines.
• Ground-penetrating radar has identified buried structural anomalies beneath the 1960s chapel. Something is under there.

Function in Play

The Tremere PC’s obsession. Marquette University sits on a magical null zone — Thaumaturgy fails completely within its boundaries. The suppression is total. Blood magic, rituals, wards, all of it dies inside the zone. Buried beneath the campus are Native American totems or wards that predate European settlement. Whatever is down there is still active, and it does not discriminate between Tremere blood sorcery and anything else supernatural.

Who Controls It

• Mortal administration. The university is a functioning academic institution with campus security, student population, and regular foot traffic.
• Carna has staked a Tremere claim on the investigation. Dr. Mortius is her on-site field agent, maintaining a haven in a house near campus.
• No Kindred formally claims the campus. Nobody wants territory where their powers might not work.
• The Eagle Pack has a spiritual stake — the Talon of the Eagle is one of the buried totems. Their interest in the zone adds a Lupine dimension to any investigation.
