Function in Play

Where elders live and meet informally. Not Elysium — but safer than Elysium in many ways because the residents are powerful and motivated to keep their neighborhood quiet. The Prince’s Council members and Morgaine all have homes here.

Physical Read

Towering colonial mansions with spacious lawns — a conscious rejection of the French Quarter’s cloistered patios, built by Americans who snubbed the Creole establishment after the Louisiana Purchase. Most houses dating to the 1830s. Broad St. Charles Avenue runs along the edge, with the streetcar line.

Who Controls It

Informally dominated by the Ventrue establishment — Karen Chartry’s three-story house is here, as is the Tremere chantry house Sebastian maintains. Morgaine’s haven is here. Marcel’s mansion is presumably nearby.
