Same Embrace event as Marcel — both Embraced by Lothar Constantine after the Civil War. Jereaux Embraced first; he engineered Marcel’s Embrace, then engineered Constantine’s “departure.” He spent years building Marcel’s position, then vanished from public Kindred life the moment Marcel was crowned.

He is the reason Marcel’s spy network functions so well — Lawrence Meeks was Jereaux’s connection, and Jereaux arranged Martin’s appointment as network head. The network serves Marcel politically but serves Jereaux strategically.
