Solo Engine

Mythic GME 2E oracle and Tourniquet Scale. Scene testing, Fate Chart, Chaos Factor, Random Events, and narrative momentum burns.

The solo engine replaces a human GM with two interlocking systems:

Mythic GME 2E handles all oracle functions — answering fate questions, testing whether scenes play out as expected, generating random events when chaos spills over. The Fate Chart is the engine’s primary decision surface: a d100 table that returns Yes/No answers weighted by current chaos and narrative odds.

The Scale (from Tourniquet) tracks narrative momentum across every action roll. It doesn’t produce game-mechanical effects directly — it produces story effects. When Scale reaches ±3, a narrative Burn moment occurs. At ±8, a mandatory Major event.

Together they produce emergent story structure from mechanical play: individual dice rolls accumulate into scenes, scenes accumulate into tension, tension forces Burn moments, Burn moments redirect the story.
